IT Helpdesk Supervisor/Project Manager

This position works to assist and reports to the IT Directors. The IT department provides support for numerous offices around the state. This person will be a key member of the IT department helping to improve customer service and implement new technologies.

Typical duties of the position may include:

  • Overseeing the help desk team and monitor performance.
  • Ensuring all phases of incident tickets are handled in a timely manner.
  • Manage multiple projects, delegate tasks and provide timelines.
  • Communication with management to keep projects aligned with goals.
  • Motivate people involved in the project to complete tasks on time.
  • Identify and manage potential risks and liabilities of current projects.

The IT Helpdesk Supervisor/Project Manager may be assigned additional tasks in support of the department’s goals.

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Multi-task efficiently and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, takes initiative and able to work independently or with a team.
  • Understand technical concepts without being fully immersed in the technology.
  • Ability to delegate tasks, manage priorities and hold people accountable.
  • Ability to provide accurate timelines and escalate when timelines may be overdue.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Experience overseeing a helpdesk environment.
  • Experience managing IT projects.
  • Experience providing desktop support to end users.
  • Knowledgeable with installations, setup, and updates of Windows Operating Systems (Windows Server/Windows 10), Microsoft Office 365.
  • Basic networking understanding and troubleshooting skills of concepts such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services, and VMware is a plus.
  • Light travel may be required.
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Weeknight and weekend work may occasionally be required.
