Closing the Book on Old School

« TITLE TALK / Closing the Book on Old School

A few examples of the ways our people volunteered their time included chaperoning field trips, reading in classrooms, building gardens, grading math homework, and maintaining facilities. Some branches adopted classrooms and supported them with needed supplies and pantry items throughout the whole school year.  Our team coordinated fundraising efforts like cake walks, silent auctions, shred-a-thons, golf tournaments, and benefit concerts. Many branches involved their community business contacts to participate in supply drives and contribute to their other projects as well.   The projects were varied to fit the individual needs of communities across the state, like helping clubs reach a fundraising goal to travel to a tournament, providing classroom teachers with much needed supplies, or delivering snacks for children from food-insecure households. Over the year and a half initiative, our team volunteered over 700 hours and donated over $43,000 plus countless amounts of supplies to our community schools. We are so proud of our team, and in the subject of “Commitment to Arizona” we give them an A+! By supporting the students of Arizona, we support the future of Arizona!
